The Ushering department are responsible for the cleanup and orderliness before, during and after church services. They meet every Saturday to clean the auditorium and prepare for Sunday service.
We are the spiritual ambassador for the church – God’s ordained and organized body of believers. The ushering department serves as a “first representative” of Jesus Christ for a worship service. From the tabernacle in the Old Testament to the temple and synagogue in the New Testament, God’s presence and the teaching of His word is of supreme importance.
The ushering department represent the church in a very visible way, and help set the tone in preparation for the worship service, as well as assist with the smooth operation within the service.
Our Service include:
- Provide directions to the rest room and other facilities as may be needed.
- Make regular checks throughout building facilities to make sure no one wandering around in halls.
- Keep the sanctuary door closed during service time.
- Be alert all times.
- Be in the church venue at least 30 minutes but preferably one hour before the service to ascertain that the venue is ready to host the service.
- Make the people, members, guests, feel welcome and important.
- Assist visitors to their seats.
- Assist special needs persons to enter and leave the church.
